Washington Youth Garden

DC Natives has worked with the Washington Youth Garden (WYG) at the National Arboretum to begin to rebuild its large pollinator garden which supports butterflies and bees that pollinate the adjacent children’s garden.

DC Natives designed new plantings for the existing garden and collaborated with WYG volunteers to renovate it.

This partnership grew out of the organizations’ shared missions of community education and developing pollinator habitats. DC Natives hopes to continue the renovation and expand the garden as funding becomes available through WYG’s and/or DC Natives’ fundraising efforts.
